Upon strict instructions from Tarlac City Mayor Cristy Angeles to ensure health and quality of food sold to Tarlaquenos, some 80 kilos of “hot meat” were confiscated by the officers of the Police Community Precinct 2 (PCP 2) last Saturday, March 17, 2018.
According to the report of Dra. Julieta P. Parairo, Head of Tarlac City Veterinary Office, the seized pork meat were blocked by PCP 2 officers from tricycle driver Augustine Blas y Ventura.
Meat Control Officer, after immediate inspection, said that the confiscated “hot meat” was “unfit for human consumption.
The City Veterinary Office disposed the double-dead meat via incineration at the slaughterhouse.
As per Dra. Parairo, formal charges will be filed by the Meat Control Officer against Mr. Augustine Blas y Ventura.
