The City Government of Tarlac, in partnership with the Tarlac City PNP, led by the Chief of Police Col. Joel Mendoza, conducted clearing operations on the service roads of the Uptown Public Market on October 3 and 4, 2018.

Personnel of various city government departments, namely the City Economic Enterprise Management Office (CEEMO), the Task Force Market, the City Engineer’s Office (CEO), the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), the Tarlac City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO), the City Transport and Traffic Management Group (CTTMG) and the Public Order and Safety Office (POSO) were mobilized to ensure the success and peaceful commencement of the said operation.

Several illegal structures and stalls built by establishments and vendors beyond the allowable space and on the roadside gutters were removed.
