Regional Advocacy on Alternative Learning System (ALS) Education: Literacy for All

The Department of Education Regional Office spearheads program on “Regional Advocacy on Alternative Learning System (ALS) Education: Literacy for All” held at Diwa ng Tarlac Convention Center, Tarlac City.
Hon. Mayor Cristy Angeles in her message emphasized that “Education is a right, not a privilege.” The City Government of Tarlac, under her leadership, stays true to this saying by promoting and implementing programs that will truly give access to quality basic education.
The event was likewise graced by Hon. Gov. Susan Yap among others. Other attendees include superintendents and assistant superintendents of different divisions, DEPED regional supervisors, education program specialists, mobile teachers, district ALS coordinators and successful passers of ALS.
The program aims to publicize the Alternative Learning System (ALS) Education. It encourages the informal sector to continue with their studies. It likewise aims to promote the booth exhibits of 20 schools division, disseminate the importance of ALS and other various programs through media coverage and showcase accomplishments of ALS Education via projects and outputs.
